ANY CANDIDATE who answers a question saying that "the Federal Government should take control from the states and..."

Should have a TRAP DOOR open right under their chair so they will immediately VANISH from the scene!

HOW LAME are these people? Do they really believe the federal government will do a better, more efficient job with health care delivery???

And this belief would be based on WHAT successes the federal government handles today?????report abuse

All of the political candidates tell us if we throw more money at the medical insurance problem we will get more universal care. That is bunk.

Everyone knows when you make an appointment with any medical service provider you have to wait weeks to get in. That tells me there is too little supply and too many patients. That is a formula for high medical prices and rich doctors.

To get universal health care and lower prices for that care you have to get a bigger supple of health care and more competition between those providers. To do the Maine could simple reduce the relative taxes on providers relative to other States.

What good doctor or health care professional wants to come to one of the highest tax states in the nation and set up practice? Give all health care professionals who come to Maine 5 years completely free of any taxes whatsoever and you will get more doctors and hospitals. That in turn will lower the prices and provide more health care to more people in Maine. It may not be popular with the medical lobbies who give so much money to all the candidates but it would be good for Maine people.

Think about it.report abuse
