Nice park. And they're doing a great thing cleaning it up. Now I have a question.

Who's the dumbass, and how much money did they waste on that stupid sign? "No Lifeguard on duty. Swim at your own risk."

That's how I always swim, dummy. Don't any signs telling me I might drown. I realize tourists likely stop there, but I'm pretty sure they're aware that they could drown in the water too.

Maybe, just a suggestion now, we might have MORE MONEY if we STOPPED WASTING IT ON STUPID SIGNS!report abuse

One of the finest 'secret' places for miles around! Still quiet and peaceful, clean and well-maintained, with a friendly staff and a great ranger with marvelous photographic skills.

Is there a pictorial history available of this lake which includes those wonderful old buildings now long-gone? Hard to imagine today what this property was actually like in those days. Perhaps if one listens carefully, the echoes of children's laughter can be heard even today.

Peace, right off Rt. 2.report abuse

Jeff McCabe has a great vision for the park and is doing wonderful things for the town of Skowhegan! The park is truly a gem that we should treasure and support wholeheartedly. Thanks, Jeff, for all you do!!report abuse
