I recall a couple of years ago a Colby College grad was on a well-known radio talk show in the Boston area. When asked questions like what years was the American Civil War or name a President after Lincoln or which war was the 'war to end all wars'....they could not even guess. But ask a Colby College student to name several different beer brans---no problem.

What does that tell ya about an higher education at Colby College?report abuse

Bowdoin College used to have more drunken parties than the fishermen and Lobstermen did when I was younger. With the so-called privacy rights that these kids enjoy, colleges will not do a thing.report abuse
