That is a great deal for Dirigo, I looked two years ago and it was almost $800/month with a higher deductable and they were not allowing any new enrollees. You can get it through most independent insurance reps in your community. However, Dirigo only opens up for enrollement at certain times. Not sure what they are but it may be when the State feels like it. Oh we found Anthem Maine to be almost 300 bucks cheaper than Dirigo tooreport abuse

WE need to stop beating the dead horse! The story reports the obvious, this is not news breaking. Since 1992 Sen Libby Mitchell was one of the sponsors of legislation that drove out competition in the State. We need to reverse those mandates and bring in competition and then drop Dirigo as the numbers have not met there goals. Wasn't it a goal of Dirigo to have over 80,000 enrolled in two years and here we are with dwindling numbers down to 12,900 with the max near 18,000. Any business would have pulled the plug on this failed venture. Bring in change in this next election and demand that our legislators open up competition for insurance.report abuse
