Brian - You make a good point although perhaps we differ a little in what constitutes patriotism. Some of these people, at least in photos, look to be 'mugging for' the camera - and some of the comments about writing to Congressmen and Senators for laws to protect the flag . .just seems a little over the top to me.

I guess you'd have to be down here and see what happens regularly to understand how I would reach the conclusion I have.report abuse

Rick....why do you think people that are patriotic are making fools of themselves. Is there something wrong with showing your patriotism? I'm asuming from your previous comments the the supporters of the Flag are the fools.



I think it's refreshing to know that some Americans are still passionate about their country and it's symbols. Nothing foolish about that is there?

I understand the arguements that it was a project and not real flags,but I think it would be sad if nobody cared.
