Many of the state reps who voted for this new scam,
were connected to the insurance industry.
How long has this industry been looking out for us?
The profits are what they are interested in.
If you get Caught, like a crimninal, not wearing
a seat belt, based on experience, your auto
insurance will rise some 25%...There are no statistics to prove seat belts save lives.
We never read about People who get injured or killed who were wearing seat belts. This is just another make work scam like the Annual Auto Inspection law. Both Parties are in on the deal.
What law has the Gov promoted that protects the
interests of the working classes?report abuse

I think there are 26 States with seat-belt laws and I personally wear one myself and have no particular problem with this law. Having said that, if an adult should choose, for whatever reason, not to be belted, they should have that right. However, I would find it irresponsible for adults to not ensure that children were properly restrained.report abuse
