Well here it is again, so there!
Just a public service announcement, but one that I feel could be very beneficial to members of the community as well as college students. It's not about Chinese restaurants, but it's Chinese all the same:
On Tuesdays at The Living Water Community Church located at 169 Rice Rips Road near Colby College, Grandmaster Ron Wilson will be holding a 12-week course in traditional Wing Chun Kung Fu. Classes are completely free of charge, and will begin on April 8th from 7 pm to 8 pm. Then from 8 pm to 9 pm on Tuesdays a 6-week basic self-defense course will be offered to Colby College students free of charge.
This is not Karate, Tae Kwon Do, etc., or any of the several other forms of martial arts that are abundant & easily available to the public.
Wing Chun Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art developed over 600 years ago, and is the very foundation from which Bruce Lee himself developed his art of Jeet Kune Do.
Wing Chun Kung Fu is the most effective form of self-defense no matter how big, strong, and aggressive your attacker may be. It is the most effective bar-none!
Again, these classes are completely free, and instructed by a true Grandmaster of over 36 years of training in Wing Chun Kung Fu & Tai Chi!report abuse
However, it makes one wonder, will there be enough parking places for their customers? The former owners of this establishment had very few clients-
Peking Hut was always busy in it's Winslow location.report abuse
