Paul - torture does work. To what extent is anyone's guess but it does make people talk.

Tim - no one with a working brain believes that waterboarding was used just on 3 suspects for a total of 1 minute.

Suggesting such is so runs contrary to common sense - at least to those of us who took lifeguard certification classes. Part of that training involves getting dunked from behind and having to get free - sessions that too often ran the maximum of 1 minute. I can guarantee that no state secrets came out during that type of training.

To suggest as fast that 1 minute among 3 during one-time sessions should be beneath the dignity of anyone not named Bush, Cheney, Rice, Rumsfeld or Rove.report abuse

JR, trying to keep your children and grandchildren from becoming victims of torture is a good obsession....what is a sunny Sunday afternoon comapred to that goal....report abuse
