With a $9 Trillion debt, rising home foreclosures, lost jobs, rising fuel costs, among other things, I think we're going to have a lot more to worry about in the coming couple of years than this anti-violence program. It don't look good to me . . .report abuse

Well you are right there Rick and who in the devil do we have to thank for that one?? Good old GW!! He never should have made it to the White House!! It is sad to think that the good old US of A had him voted in, in the first place..I sure didn't!! He should take a look at using our tax dollars here at home where they are really needed instead of everywhere else in the world!! And now we owe foreign governments money I just read..What to H!!! You can say whatever you want about Bill Clinton, but at least the man balanced the budget for the first time in a long time and our economy was no where near the struggle we face today!! Thanks so much GW..report abuse

The problem is that these funds are being cut by the federal government to the States and Maine doesn't have the money to continue these programs. It's happening throughout the US - not just in Maine.report abuse
