Some people have a "helluva crash" and walk away laughing. Others get permanent brain damage.
Also, it's scary to see kids and adults riding bikes together, and only the kids are wearing helmets. If the adult crashes and gets knocked out cold because he wasn't wearing a helmet, what's the kid supposed to do? If they've got a cell phone they could call 911, and maybe they have relatives to live with while the parent's in the hospital, but it would be a lot simpler if the parent simply wore a bike helmet.report abuse
So what the hell does THAT number have to do with bicycle helmets? You talk about a slanted story........WOW.
It never ceases to amaze me how we ever made it through the 50's without wearing a rubber suit & helmets, & knee pads. OH....WAIT....I KNOW!
We got a scraped knee, maybe a bump on the head, pants leg caught in the chain & sprocket & had a helluva crash. It's called life experiences & learning.
We'll chalk this one up as today's feel good story & "for the children."report abuse
