It's frustrating being among the 1% who can comprehend basic lane use rules.report abuse
When i am in Augusta and feel homesick for Massachusetts i go out of my way to go though the rotary. One time i am with my Maine significant other and i drove her around the rotary about 10 times for the fun.
Here are some tips. Say your approaching the rotary leaving the Kmart area. You want to be in the right hand lane. Then you look left and wait for a chance to scoot out, using your left turn signal...your turn signal will actually help you to merge in with any approaching vehicle. Once in the rotary, get in the far right lane and own it...dont brake, keep using your turn signals...continuously. Using your turn signal actually gives you some the opponents in the other vehicles. When time to go right, use your turn signal. You might have to slow down but dont brake, lift your foot off the gas pedal.
Perhaps the columnist of these traffic articles would like to take a ride sometime for some lessons ??? ;)report abuse
