Maine is not funding the war, the rest of the nation is funding the war (or will end up paying off the enormous debt with China and India) AND paying for Maine's welfare society.
The rest of the country should protest having to support Maine by not paying a portion of THEIR taxes.
These people meeting in Farmington should go back to waving signs and marching. Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face......THINK ABOUT IT!!report abuse
The truth is that all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services (such as funding the armed forces) which taxpayers expect from their Government.
Don't believe this? Check out the Grace Commission Report from the Reagan era. It's only gotten worse since then.
If you want a tax protest, that's one thing. However, don't delude yourselves into thinking that your taxes fund anything but the interest paid to a private Delaware corporation called "The Federal Reserve."
