At least I would have done everything possible to protect my child and if the Bishop didn't do anything I would have spoken to parishoners myself. My main point was it was an odd situation that the parents should have thought to question and not let happen.

I'm not placing all the blame on the parents. The priest was a grown man who should have known better and is apparently sick and shouldn't work with the public. But as parents they didn't do what they should have to protect their child.

Aside from that why didn't the article say anything about them going after the priest. They went after the church for money sure but it seems like the priest got away scott free. Unless the money he won is going to counseling suing the church was ridiculous.report abuse

I think its time we passed a law. That if you're in a position of trust. A teacher, police officer, priest,etc. That your sentence should be doubled, and never be aloud to work that postion ever again.report abuse
