Astraea- You are proving yourself to be a liar by claiming that this project has the support of 650 of the residents of Freedom. The votes in support of this project have never even come close to 650 or any other number in the hundreds. You are more then welcome to attack me, my family, my neighbor's, and Mr. Bearor; but your criticism holds no value to any of us unless you start offering to buy our homes at MARKET value and personally accepting the loss of value that these turbines will bring to these properties. When you can do that then you can preach; as for now, I do not owe Ron Price a comfy retirement any more then I owe you a tax break. This is my home; I sacrificed a great deal to build this house and I am not eager to lose all that I have invested into it both financially and emotionally.

For me, this is not just a "house"; my children are able to grow up next door to their grandparent's whom adore them, we have better neighbor's then any person could wish for, and there are three households up here with children of the same age, that share the same interests. For the last seven years, my children have enjoyed a security which so many children in this country are not allowed; this is WHY I moved here. I gave up my entire family, my GOOD paying job, and all of my life long friends to give my children this life; now I am called a NIMBY for trying to preserve the life that my children know, love, and depend on.

The only NIMBY'S I have met over the last 2 years have been supporter's of this project. These are the people that will look me in the eye and say, "I support this project, but I know I would fight it if I lived up there". As for me, I do not support this project or any other wind project that places wind turbines within 2500' of homes or 1500' of property lines. I have a pretty good guess as to who Astraea is and if I am correct, she is going to make a tidy profit if this project goes through. She is simply a greedy and viscous person.report abuse

Get over it "neighbors". Quit thinking about your own half-empty cup and get out of the way of progressive energy policy.report abuse

Chromedome - DUH!

Those dams have been there for a hundred years. If fish needed to get past them to reproduce, how come they haven't disappeared by now? All the fish should be dead because they couldn't reproduce, so keeping the dams is now a moot point.

With about 650 Freedom residents strongly & enthusiastically in support of the wind turbine project, we gotta wonder when the town will develop the backbone to say "Enough!" to the abusive lawyer, Mr.Bearor and his 3 anti-windpower NIMBY clients. Maybe when the town comes to understand that over $8,000 of their hard-earned tax dollars have gone to defend the town against the opponent's repeated appeals and lawsuits? According to Mr. Bearor, this is just the beginning? By the way, have you seen Mr. Bearor's new yacht?report abuse
