I'm having the town go over it since I also discovered that I'm being taxed on 5 acres instead of 3! It's only been 30 years of this........
The town pople don't even know how many years back they have to refund me. I'm discouraged. Suggestions welcomedreport abuse
We should instead have a higher sales tax. Sales tax is simple, fair and paid at the register, and no one loses their homes. But the best way by far to save every maine household about $2500 per year is to buy all existing hydro dams in Maine and generate our own power for almost free. We could all heat our homes with electric heat like they do in Quebec. The monthly power bill would be extremely inexpensive. Then we could sell the excess power to other states. The big dam at Mactaquac dam in N.B. Canada produces so much power they just send the excess into the ground, imagine that. The good people of Quebec have set up their own power dam with Hydro Quebec and produce their own power at 5 cents per kilowatt.report abuse
