One of the best ways to save energy, and curb the carbon footprint, is for Maine to purchase and revitalize all existing hydro dams and produce almost free power with NO carbon footprint. We could have very inexpensive heat for our homes and a very low power bill. Then we the people of Maine could bring back the electric car by building automotive and battery manufacturing facilities.
We would could use the batteries that can give approx. 300 miles per charge and come home at night and plug in our cars and charge them with our electicity generated from our hydo dams for relatively no charge and again, no carbon footprint. Question: Do you think the fabulously wealthy, who own the oil and coal fired power plants, that currently produce our electicity, will allow this?report abuse
