So you think it’s weird that Arlo Guthrie endorses Ron Paul? Why is that so hard to believe? Guthrie was always a voice of social consciousness and as you said “anti-establishment.”So it stands to reason that Ron Paul’s message resonates with him. Guthrie is endorsing the man, not the Republican Party! If the writer had done his research and listened to what Ron Paul had to say, he would know that Paul calls himself the “Champion of the Constitution.” His message says SMALL government ruled by the people... instead of people being ruled by government. Sound familiar? It’s called the Constitution. The Constitution was a protection put in place by our founding fathers to make sure that government would not get too powerful. In the thirty years Paul has been in office, he has never ONCE voted to raise taxes. He has stood resolute against our government’s interference overseas, in the economy, and in our personal lives. He voted against the Patriot Act, he wants to stop the national I.D.card, opposes internet taxes and regulation, wants to stop looting from social security. Sound anti-establishment? You bet it is! Anything that is contrary to the Constitution Paul will not vote for! We as Americans have gotten so used to the Federal Government dictating how to run healthcare, education and even our money that it seems strange when someone like Ron Paul reminds us of our fundamental rights as Americans. So it’s not so weird after all that Guthrie endorses Ron Paul.report abuse

Chad,

The problem is when you get to Paul's vision for "domestic policy," you get a complete, utter nightmare of environment degredation and survival of the fittest evolutionary neo-con nonsense.report abuse
