'As far as we’re concerned, anyone who runs a serious race for the presidency is a patriot. If you believe enough in your country and its ideals to seek its highest office, if you choose to sacrifice all that must be sacrificed in order to pursue and hold that office, then you’re a patriot, plain and simple."

Unfortunatly, most of our politicans run because they are ambitious and not to serve the public good. For these, running for office is not a sacrifice but an obstruction to those ambitions. They are neither noble nor patriotic.report abuse

By that definition, you would have to stipulate George Bush is a patriot, (even though you would have a stroke doing so.)

Editorials written to prop up a truly unknown and unproven aspect of Barack Hussein Obama demonstrate only that you are rooting against his opponent at all costs.

(Did you actually say a true patriot is two-faced? Correction: you were describing a politician, not a patriot.)report abuse
